This past weekend we had our Seattle MQG holiday party and sew in, and there was a swap involved. I started making a super cute pouch for the party with some paper pieced letters on one side and tiny geese on the other. It was a major pain in the ass - don't EVER use Essex for tiny paper piecing! It's just too thick. The letters looked awesome in the end though and I loved the pouch.
Since this one wasn't destined for anyone in particular, I kept it. The boyfriend is proud of me for making something that I'm keeping. And I'll get to enjoy my own handiwork for a long time to come.

Those swaps are so tempting! Glad you kept that adorable pouch. ;)
ReplyDeleteoh this turned out darling! I didn't think I remembered seeing it at the swap - good for you! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's really cute Allison. Good for you for keeping something! I used to sign up for too many swaps. I've gotten better at it but I still put a lot of effort into things for other people and not much for myself. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful pouch!! I love the essex! I've only used it once in paper piecing, but I can imagine how it would be in something small like those letters. Great job! :)
